Anger and determination

We are not happy today. Not at all. And we need to explain a bit to talk about it.
We should preface by saying we are not very knowledged about politics. Some of our family members stay up to date on the topics to a national level. To be fully honest, we are not good at it because not only does the topic evade us, but it makes us distressed and confused, knowing we don't have the knowledge of present day events to be able to make a properly informed opinion.
As things stand, we have been on the internet for a long time in proportion to our physical age. One could argue at least a portion of our sense of culture was formed by the internet itself. And due to the United States of America being in control of a lot of the Western portion of the internet, so has drifted our knowledge to generally American centered topics, which we have been told is not ideal.
As such, we have had to remember the simple fact that no one is immune to propaganda several times, trying to discard general concepts such as "capitalism good, communism bad" (World knows we have been working hard at that one), "Russia is evil", "everyone but the USA wants to use nuclear bombs to take over" and, most importantly, "Corporations know what's best for you".
One thing we have become aware of through osmosis and family education, however, is the concept of "right and left" when it comes to politics. In the way we percieve it, the "right" leaning entities seek to preserve the current power gap between people, creating an extreme situation where the minority holds power and commodities over the majority, and the "left" leaning entities seek an opposite goal: equity and justice in regards to living conditions, and respect and safety for all entities, disregarding unfair power dynamics and allowing entities to express themselves in a safe environment.
This comes to say, the current status of the United States of America is so insanely right leaning it's beyond the limit of ridiculous and upsetting. Under the leadership of current president Donald J. Trump, things that have been progressing for the betterment of all across the years have been scaled extremely far back, and laws and actions have been passed that endanger several people and entities for the very illogical crime of being different from an invented standard of life that limits people to a one dimensional array of work and sleep and preferences defined by those in power.
This was already something that was in our mind, but, as Talia may have clued people in with a recent post, we are in love now... and while we do not live in the USA, our partners do. And they are not OK with the developments that have been happening recently. And neither are we.

The people we are in love with are not to be named in these blogs without consent. We love them oh so much, and we are not going to breach their privacy.
These people made uss remember how it feels to be loved for who you are, in a way that our close family once taught us, but sadly took away from us in a moment of anger. We are in good terms and love our family, but sadly the scars of mistakes made remain in a way we might not be able to cure for a while.
We are not perfect. We don't measure consequences well, can be cowardly and unthinking at times, and have a generally low self confidence most of the time. But these people... they awoke a spark in us we long thought lost. And to see their own sparks being threatened and abated constantly... it is something we are done taking without fighting back.
In most situations, I am not an angry person. My standard feelings on times of crisis are melancholy and shutting down. But this situation? This is something, as a guardian and as a loving person, that I will not abide to.
The only things that ignite worry in us are time and methodology.

And even those are something that we can solve.
We are young. We are healthy. We have a mind that has been described as exceptional by our peers and tutors. We have significant knowledge on topics related to computer functionality and philosophy, the former of which is a topic that is trying to be snuffed out by corporations and is desperately needed by those who do not have it, and the latter of which has guided us to several realizations and moments of deep thinking, analysis, and clarity.
We have plans on opening a computer repair shop to start gathering funds for the people we care for, and for anyone who may need something in these times of crisis. We have to do what we can, and we will do so.
Funny how moments of crisis can make you pull through hard times, even when other conditions would tell you that nothing could be done.
We will study. We will adapt. We will persevere. And we will help. Somehow.
